The physicians and staff of Women’s Health Specialists of CentraState are committed to providing you with the best possible care through evidence-based treatment, prevention, and well woman services. We believe great care starts with great listening, so we take time to answer your questions, talk about your concerns, and discuss all of the factors affecting your health and well-being.
Dr. Markman is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center, after earning a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree from New York University.
Dr. Vivian Mishan is a board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System. She continued her training in Female Medicine and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA.
Dr. Celestine is a board-certified OB/GYN, who joined Women’s Health Specialists of CentraState this fall. Following her medical education at West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Celestine returned to her home state of New Jersey to complete her residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Dr. Shalev earned her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Antilles and completed her residency at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell Health. She is returning to the region after spending several years with an obstetrics/gynecology practice in the Midwest.
Dr. Mapa is an obstetrician/gynecologist with Women’s Health Specialists of CentraState in Freehold, NJ. He has clinical expertise treating patients with conception planning, prenatal, pregnancy through childbirth and postpartum care. Dr. Mapa provides comprehensive, compassionate gynecological services for every age and stage of a woman’s life and believes that his patients should be an active participant in their care.
Karen Lowe, DNP, is a nurse practitioner with CentraState Medical Center. She specializes in women’s health issues and the high-risk breast program. Karen provides full scope women’s health care throughout a woman’s lifespan, from puberty to postmenopausal. She performs in-office breast and gynecological exams, procedures including IUD insertion, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses, as well as routine obstetrical care throughout the course of pregnancy and postpartum.
